Hi all so I was asking by a customer if I sychno a sid807evo with the newer style cem. Much like the one which is in the ford ranger. , I said I can't help but it got me intrested that maybe I should find out if It can be done. , so after some good ow googlin. I did discover that codecard started working on this very style of ecu & cem or the L style cem. But that was discontinued long ago for what ever reason. , what's everyone's , whos intrested in tickerings , thoughts?

so furthering my little adventure , i am planning on buying a ECM&CEM set from eBay. it looks like it'll fit the bill. , i have also done a little more digging around and discovered the sid807evo has been installed on various ford models. this doesn't surprise me in the least seeing as ford and Volvo share alot of parts. , the readings continue to suggest to use a certain version of kess , which can the ecm under the ford variant. , fingers crossed the version i have is the same as i have not checked it yet...

the fun continues on.

So I have successfully made a purchase of a ecu - cem - cluster - key- key reader , abs module , and some other modules. All for a very reasonable price. , this is all in the name of science of course.... I discovered Somthing interesting from a customer of ours at work. , I was explaining about how I have been tinkering with ecu's and have landed on volvo tech from all the makes see through the workshop, no idea why thats what i did anyway, and it turns out that he programs in C++ I started very briefly started explaining what I wanted to do , and he seems intrested into know more , so we exchanged mobile numbers. I did explain that nothing is going to happen until i find ecu set with all the relevant modules. , now that I'd on the horizon. Now I can get started or hope to get started.

Yet again the fun continues....

Ok so the ecu set finally arrives.

, now my next task do I try to decipher the wiring diagrams and pull my hair out working it out or just buy a complete loom for engine and body , which surprisingly are rather cheap. And then plug it all in that way? I couldn't also shorten the loom as I go which would make it much more manageable when making a test rig.
