Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
Hello guys!
I just wanted to ask if someone can help me with turbo cooling lines and oil lines.
I need to get new ones because I swaped non turbo engine (2.5) to 2.0 turbo and I don´t have any lines for turbo. I have zero clue what to buy . Also I would like to buy exhaust system as well. If someone can help me find parts or even sell them I would be very greatful.
Thanks for your help!
Your best bet is to find parts in Europe because as far as I know we did not get the 2.0 turbo here. Smallest was the 2.3 turbo although I could be wrong.
So do you have any parts other than the turbo?
I will start a list and hopefully others can add to it:
1) Turbo air pipework. You will need the turbo air box, snorkal pipe and MAF for the 2.0 turbo engine. Then the metal and rubber pipes across the top of the engine from the turbo to the intercooler, then the intercooler, and pipes to the throttle body.
2) Depending on the year you will need a TCV and pipes to the engine (should be 3 small bore pipes), turbo.
3) You will need the turbo engine ECU.
4) Water cooling pipes to the turbo as well as oil feed pipes.
5) If you don't have the turbo radiator you may need one or a block plate if the engine has a oil cooler below the crank pulley
The best thing would be if you can find parts diagrams for the engine year you have as they will give you a good idea of what you need.
I will see if I can find anything similar for a 2.3 engine as much will be the same but maybe not the part numbers.
Neil.

Hello Neil!
ECU should be from 850 turbo it is original.
My volvo is from 1995 and I don´t think it had intercooler specific for turbo. Isn´t it cooled from radiator?
Thanks
The radiator included the water, oil and transmission fluid (only for automatic transmissions). The Intercooler for the charged air was mounted in front of the radiator (between the radiator and the AC condenser). The large charged air pipe runs from the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the throttle body.
All p80 Turbos had intercoolers.
The 2.0 Turbos werde (as far as I know) identic to the 2.3s with a smaller bore and mainly sold in Italy because they have a weirdly high tax for anything above 2 liters.
