His last jump, from almost 103,000 feet, was the record for 52 years.

Open gondola. Yes, it took a really long time to get up there. Rumored to have broken the speed of sound during descent (keep in mind that number is a variable, depending on pressure altitude among other things.)

How did they solve the temperature issue? Last jet I was on the seatback screen showed it was 70-some degrees below zero, and that’s at 1/3 the height.
