WTB: Right Side (Passenger side) Tailgate Hinge for '87 245

Hi,

I need a right side (passenger side) tailgate hinge for my '87 245. If you have one available for sale then please let me know. I would need it shipped to upstate NY but if you are within a couple hours from Albany then I can come by and buy it personally.

Do you need a working hinge only, or do you want like new condition? I MAY have a working hinge if 1990 740 hinge is the same.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I just need a hinge that works as intended and nothing is broken. I have the bolts and the rubber bit kept between it and the roof.

I THINK the 740 (745) has internally mounted hinges while the 245 has externally mounted ones so I'm pretty sure they won't fit my 245. Thanks very much for your offer though!

It might be worth checking with Erie VoVo in Utica or Dave Brumsted in Ithaca for 245 generation parts.

I have confirmed on my fleet that early 245s and later 245s use different external hinges. The 745s (at least the later ones) had internal hinges. I have no available later 245 hinges.
As you have likely found, new ones appear no longer available.
