Gas station loyalty cards for discounts

Post by FireFox31 »

What do you think of using a gas station loyalty card to get discounts on gas? I'm going to evaluate the savings and may apply for three different gas brands where I always stop; Shell, Sunoco, and a local company. My interest was triggered by the local company which sneakily lists their "cash price" and "member price".

I've bought many thousands of dollars of gas over the past eight years and will continue to do so. Will the incremental savings of "member price" be worth it? What do you think.

If it’s on your travel plans, they make sense. 5 cents off on a gallon means at most $1 off a tank. Realistically , if you drive 2 miles off path to get the savings, you just spent it anyway.

I’ve been filling my tank at the,guy who dropped my AWD axle for $500 lately
