The downtime was indeed huge I almost thought someone was DDoS-ing the site that or hacked.
I am still noticing bugs. Not sure if it is a bug, but I see people have posted recently, but on their profile it says they have not been active in years.

Yea, when you delete cookies it wipes clean your browser's memory of its logged in/out state. Meaning you have to log in. Mark "Remember me" checkbox (most users do), and you'll not have to log in again for weeks.
