How to remove a Dolby center speaker from dash pad?

How the heck does the cover come off the center dash speaker? I need to repair a crack in the surround on it and it just does not seem to want to come off. I think it has 4 push tabs? Does the speaker grill come out by itself and leave the surround or does the whole top section come off. Even with the dash off I cant see for sure and don't want to break it further.

It clips onto the steel frame of the speaker.
Start at a corner and be careful.
