Wait what? "Inexpensive"?! Matt you're out of your mind.

Yes, really. $35k. The average new car price in the US is $48k.

Interesting!

Curious - does that make it the least expensive new car Volvo makes ?

Can you just buy it, or how does this fit into their subscription model?

Y'know, the humble Bolt was about $28,000, this isn't much more than that. And the Bolt has been cancelled.

I drove a Fiat 500e the other night, just around the block. It was pristine, 20k miles, like new. They're only reported to be good for 85-95 miles, but this guy barely touches the pedal and uses regen braking and gets 120-140. I've never heard of that. It was fun - solid, quick, silent.

For fun I looked up Denver, Salt Lake, and Boise dealers per your map on the other page. None of them are showing any in stock. I wonder if they're not logged in to the system yet, or at a distribution point or something.

I found this in Boise -

Some details I found -

These vertical vents (air curtains) direct air through the wheel well to wash the tire wake and reduce drag.

Reviewer comment:
"Volvo was clearly on a campaign to eliminate complexity all across the EX30, and that’s helped it hit its all-important $35,000 starting price. While some of these decisions are certain to frustrate those who demand physical buttons and controls for literally everything, it’s important to stipulate that the EX30 seems like a well-screwed together product, with the fit and finish you’d expect from a Volvo. Inventive materials comprising recycled plant fibers and textiles — like the flax-derived surfaces in the example seen in this post — look great and feel much better to the touch than typical automotive-grade hard plastic."

Excellent easter egg with the moose...

Yea the button thing again... I agree with all the hate ever aimed their way. It bad for driving and it's bad for safety and I was and continue to be shocked that Volvo put this in its cars.

I think this 3.4 sec 0-60 makes this the fastest Volvo ever to roll off factory floors. I'll dig around a bit to confirm.
