... but of course they'll make it. It's Volvo, which has a fantastic record with SUVs.
I think it's kinda wild that Volvo is only about to release their third fullsize SUV. Third! I count eight different Ford Explorers.
Sometime in the early 2000s, flagships changed from large sedans to large SUVs, and I don't think Volvo is any different here. The current XC90 is a good-looking product.
Volvo has leaned heavily on their SUV lineup to make a profit. They tend to design very well -- they really think things through -- and then depend on that good design for years.
I think that's why it's easier to buy an expensive Volvo than other brands: that XC90 or, soon, EX90 is going to be a quality vehicle because of this philosophy.
