My siren module was randomly sounding the alarm, and draining the battery, so I unplugged the fuse for it about a year ago. Is it possible to fix it without getting a new $300 module? Do other security things like the immobilizer still work?
Im going to college is a higher crime area compared to where I live now. Is it worth it to have a working alarm system since if someone would break into my car, they already expect the alarm to go off?
What security features work with the siren module disabled?

So the best advice i can give is keep your interior clear. People will break into cars for opportunity so if you leave a phone/tools/shiny stuff inside your car then its more a matter of time.
The only really useful security feature i found on the p2's was in the sedans you can enable valet mode which means they cannot open the trunk unless the master key is used to disable valet mode. Since you put the seats down from the trunk it effectively makes it a safe.
If someone wants to break into your car they will regardless. A window smash is a window smash, and if its normal in the area then its just a matter of luck and hope.
Keep the car empty inside, hell leave the glovebox open and empty if possible.
With regards to random activations. I had that for a little and realized it was the mass motion sensor triggering in storms and high winds when i checked trigger codes.
