I installed a reomote starter last year. No problem at all (I thought). This year with my battery a year older I realized that my alternator was not charging when the remote starter was running my car. I confirmed this with a volt meter. I spoke with my local volvo dealership and all they said was that the alternator needs to be energized. With that information I started my car with the remote starter. Volt meter confirmed that the alternator was not on. I then turn my ignition on and then immediately off with my key and the volt meter shot up and my alternator was running.
Any ideas how to fix this???
Thanks!!
