Hey all,
During the cold spell I replaced the radiator in my sons car, everything went well and i told him to keep an eye on the coolant level. He checked it, it was fine, but noticed the PS reservoir was low so he stopped at an auto parts store and picked some generic (domestic vehicle
I think) fluid and topped it up.
He asked me to check it today because it was getting hard to turn so I lift it and noticed the rack was totally soaked in oil below the steering wheel shaft so I cleaned it off, raised the car and removed the LF wheel and peeked in.
As he started it the lower line was dripping, and upon closer inspection noticed it's not screwed in...It looks like there's a retaining plate holding the lines/seals in. The 2 questions I have are
1. Am I right assuming there's a seal in there that is replaceable?
2. Is it possible the wrong fluid caused it or just exacerbated it?
Thanks for any ideas.
Not sure why but the correct orientation of the pic should be rotated CCW 90 degrees.

Thanks, that's a great video but I'm not sure if that's where mine is leaking....Mine looks to be leaking from the smaller lines that aren't screwed in, it's a smaller line that looks like it's held by a retaining plate secured by a Torx fastener.
I do have another xc70 I can use that video for.
And I'm also trying to get the timing belt on a dual CVVT motor an a v70.
If someone drove by they could tell I own multiple volvos by the stains on my driveway...pretty sad.
