2002 V70 XC
Hello everyone I'm new to this, but I replaced the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, and the brake booster on my 2002 Volvo V70 XC, and it won't start, it did a weak half crank and nothing, I checked timing again. It was on the timing marks, spun freely it didn't get stuck. But it won't even crank anymore. I replaced battery because it rated 11.8v and it wasn't holding a charge either. But nothing just clicks. What do you think?

If it just clicks it's most likely the solenoid in the starter. A good Battery voltage should be around 12.6 Volts with 12.8 being normal.
.
The starter motor could be good but solenoid is out so unable to push the pinion gear into the flywheel.

compare voltage at the battery to what you get at the big red wire on the starter.Jrv7 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2024, 23:54 Hello everyone I'm new to this, but I replaced the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, and the brake booster on my 2002 Volvo V70 XC, and it won't start, it did a weak half crank and nothing, I checked timing again.
