I have a high-miles 2004 v70 that I can still drive, but the below-listed items are kaput, and therefore not good things to buy.
Everything else is great. Old, but great. Silver color, no dents, very few signs of wear. Car is parked in Bayonne, NJ at the house my wife grew up in. After selling off parts, the car will be scrapped, as I assume that no one wants to buy this car and address the issues that made me buy another Volvo:
Shipping will be actual cost, from zip code 07002 (Bayonne, NJ) I have very study double-wall cartons, so if your part is less than 15 x 12 x 8, it has a nice box ready. Bigger stuff, I dunno. We will figure something out.
The temp tags on the new car expire Aug 10th, so that's likely how long the v70 has to live.
Dead Stuff:
a) The Cat is clearly failing, as the O2 sensor is reporting it is failing. Cata-clean did nothing.
b) Steering rack leaks. The car marks it's territory like a dog.
c) Transmission is clearly on the way out, despite fluid changes with the Toyota fluid, it kicks a bit in hot stop-and-go traffic in Manhattan NYC.
d) Driver's seat has several seams that have given way, exposing the yellow padding.
e) Interior carpets are dirty, as this was my "urban pickup truck", and I AM the kind of friend who will help you move.
Everything else is perfect. VIDA reports no errors at all, so all modules and electronic bits are functional.
