Door lock question
Door lock question
2013 S60. There is that small indent in the door handle, once it worked....if I had the key on me, it 'read' that I could use that indent to operate the door locks. No longer works. I checked all the fuses...no issue. I pulled the door handle off, no wires disconnected. Any hints? Do you have to 'set this up'?

The door handles use a capacitive sensor, same type of sensor in most modern touch screens. No setup needed, it should just do its thing. They tend to be pretty robust, so if it isn't working I'd guess an electrical issue.
If it's only one door that doesn't work I'd start there. Check for broken wires(might not look broken but the wire in the insulation could have separated), or any signs of water intrusion to the handle that could have damaged the sensor.
If it is all of the handles then sadly I would suspect a control module issue.
