This is how cheap good Volvos are in England

I don't think this phenomenon carries over to continental Europe, FWIW.

This is about $6k, for a good looking 245 with 98k (60k?) miles and recent work, in very desirable red . It does have rust as disclosed. And he switches from km to miles in his description, so I'd assume it's miles.

1993 Volvo 240 · Wagon · Driven 98,849 kilometres
It's time to part ways with my beloved Volvo 240 Torslanda, which has served as my reliable daily driver. This car is a joy to drive, full of charm and character.
**Recent Work Completed:**
- New alternator
- New OEM Volvo fan belts
- New front discs and pads
- New track rod ends
- New grille
- New front right brake caliper
- Last serviced at 96,000 miles
The tyres are relatively new and have plenty of tread remaining. The chassis is in excellent condition, with minimal rust, limited to small cosmetic spots typical for a car of this age. A few pieces of plastic trim are missing, as shown in the photos.
This Volvo comes with an extensive history, with records dating back to when it was first made.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you.

That’s kind of amazing to me. And maybe I’m uninformed, but I’m surprised to see something of this age in such good shape in what I think of as a very damp climate.

If it is in KM and not miles (I can't access the additional picture to see if there is a picture of the speedometer) but there are now many JDM cars being imported into the UK. Japan is in in km, and they don't use salt on the roads. 96,000km is one of the Volvo 'big' service mileages.
