My Next Volvo!

Post by Graham Rollings »

Hi, Guys
It's Graham here in Canada, I was wondering what some of your guys views where on the best Volvo for the buck. I currently have a 96 850/NA with 175,000 klms and have good luck to date other than minor repairs. However I have caught the enthusist bug and feel a mid life crisis coming on. I like the way my wagon handles but wouldn't mind a few more ponies under the hood. I know that the are more performance enhanced wagons out there and as I would be purchasing it used I was wondering what models are the most owner friendly( type R, T-5, hp or lp turbo) in terms of performance vs maintainance, reliability.

Thanks Guys,

If you want performance your on the right track. Go for a turbo for sure, mine was stock when I got it and have spent around $4000 so far on my mods that you can see in my profile, a combo of IPD and Ebay finds . . . Most people are partial to what they own so I'll naturally say an 850/S70 turbo, 95-98 . . . or anything pre-ford
slightly modded 850 T.... ;0
