Instrument cluster issues
Instrument cluster issues
Hello first time posting. Hope everyone is doing well. I have scoured this forum for years and it’s been a big help keeping my 2005 s60 2.5t rolling. Recently I’ve had an issue with my cluster that’s driving me nuts. This all started when I removed the cluster to send it off for repair(message board inop). Once it was returned, I plugged it up and immediately realized something was off. Picture attached. Sent it back to be reevaluated and was told everything is good, even provided a picture for reference. With that information I decided to try another cluster from a parts car. It does the exact same thing no change. I tested for voltage and ground and both were present. That’s as far as I’ve gotten. Not sure what to do moving forward. Hoping someone here has seen this before or someone would be willing to help me figure this out. The car has 174k runs and drives great just has the cluster issue. No cel abs srs codes etc…. bcm has a code for the siren which has been there for several years. Appreciate any help thanks

tell us exactly what is driving you nuts, it just looks like a cluster to me.
-188 sounds pretty cold though.
Orange triangle is trying to indicate something, have you read the codes.?

Try to find correct wiring diagram for the car. Isolate all powers and grounds and test them via 1-2 amp test light to make sure they can carry current. Check pindrag with small needle on all connector pins. If all looks good the issue is either from internal fault vs faulty signal through can. Who did repair of the cluster?(xemodex or automotive circut solutions would be my first choices in respectful order). If not them, I would send the cluster to them and ask to test it on their equipment. Question if to work correctly cluster needs to be programmed for vin. If the check of the cluster will return all good I would look for someone with advanced diagnostic skills and access to scope as Pico. To sort the signal input issues.
