If you haven't heard of Volvo Island, I wrote about it here https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo-island/ in January.
My friend Lauren lives in that town, and just sent me this photo:
The population of one just gained a gen 1 XC90 (almost)!

I was referring to xc90 that was in water. Can you confirm that it is properly drained of all liquids and is just "shell"? I was not criticizing in any way s80 being a "monument" especially knowing it's back story. In regards to EPA and us "not supposed to care about clean water"...well you probably ship water for your coffee from Pripyat area, so what some extra grease.BlackBart wrote: ↑12 May 2025, 20:55 That’s hilarious, Matt! I think the XC90 finally decided to try to reach his true love, despite not being able to swim. A tragedy.
To the other question -
- Look closely and you’ll see that’s a derelict shell with no engine or fluids.
- No significant parts of any value.
- It’s advertising for his auto shop.
- He owns the island.
- There is no more EPA, we’re not supposed to care about clean water anymore.
I'm guessing the XC90 crashed... but what are the odds?Vova585 wrote: ↑12 May 2025, 20:14 I guess i will never will be able to understand something like this. Car that is able to be fixed should be fixed and driven. Car that is DNR/DNI should go to the volvo Valhalla while supporting other Vikings with used parts. To imagine someone drove the car into the lake just for what? To contaminate the water? I guess IL EPA guys should find those jokers and give them a lesson to remember.
