If I recall Park assist has a control relay in the back on the LHS in the trunk under the side cover. It may throw a code if you pull it or it may not.

As for the Anti-skid. That can be a variety of faults, but it will stop your AWD from working permanently.

Do actually want to remove the AWD system from operating? Not sure if it can be written out of the code, you will need someone like Dikidera who may be able to advise.

Neil.

I've read people pulling ABS fuse for having fun in snow (which often ended up in cracked bumpers, suspension and steering bent, collar sleeve stripped and/or engine overheated). ABS fuse does not power BCM, which Haldex needs to talk to, so AWD seemed to be operational.

Myself would not be doing that, because of fragility of AWD in Volvo. It's not an old V8 Tundra with everything overbuilt that can spin wheels through two feet of packed snow all day long until it runs out of fuel.

The fact that the engine overheats here is wild. Speaks volumes of the inefficient water pump. I remember the Audi R8 overheating on Nurburgring but after quite a while, while the Porche 911 was going on and on and on without stopping. Sports cars I know, but even a BMW E46 will survive where Volvo cannot.

Engine compartment is too crimped for 2.5T. I overheated engine and transmission in +8C weather with mist just crawling slowly through mostly flat forest road. A/C running, fan spinning lie mad. Had to roll down the windows and put the heater on max.

I was contemplating adding some secondary electric water pump to circulate more water. Some cars do have 2 or more water pumps and even up to three thermostats on some cars.

However, after replacing the transmissions recently, with a better one....the car runs cooler. I don't see it going over 86C while trans never exceed 80-85 in 30c weather, my old one would go to 100 or more by this time.
