Break Response time for S60 05-07

Post by NEEDHELP »

Hello
can anybody help me by telling me what the break response time for a volvo S60 is? I need to know exact and accurate numbers if possible. For any model from 05 - 07 will be alright but if not then any model year.

Also assume he means BRAKE b.r.a.K.e. response (whatever that may be :roll: )

Not really called response time just brake time from 60 (or 70) to 0.
There should be a road test somewhere, this data would be there

well I have been looking for such specs or so on the net and I have ccome up with zippo. I'll have to consider this new paramerter in my net searches, thanks JRL. I may yet find the time it takes for the car to stop braking from the time I hit the brake to when the car brakes acctally starts to break. I'll post again it I still come up with zippo.

sorry, Igot it now brake... and I found out that the s60 can stop in 123 ft from 60 mph. I could do some conversons and come up with a estimate.
But I need like a specific time like from the time you hit the pedal to the time the car actually starts to brake. I heard it was called a torque time but I'm not sure.

That's a strange measurement you're looking for. If you find it, it will be in a Volvo document. Car magazines and Consumer Reports don't measure things like that, just -- as has been noted here -- stopping distances.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

1998 V70, no dash lights on

1997 850 T5 [gone] w/ MSD ignition coil, Hallman manual boost controller, injectors, R bumper, OMP strut brace

2004 V70 R [gone]

How to Thank someone for their post

Never heard of this, I don;t think it's measured.
What you need to know is STOPPING TIME AND DISTANCE from xxx (mph) to 0
