Indoor handle works to release latch. Exterior has no avail. I also noticed that I am unable to rotate my key at all inside of the exterior manual key entry.
I’m wondering if it’s similar to viewtopic.php?t=89396
Will dive into it tomorrow.

And
I was able to isolate and resolve the issue. The green plastic casing had partially separated from the metal portion of the latch housing, this not allowing the compress fit to properly align the exterior handle release action. I snapped the case together and bent the tabs tightly and got good action.
In true Volvo fashion, one problem is resolved and another arises. One problem remained: I was unable to free the lock cylinder to allow for manual key unlock. I doused it in penetrant from all angles and will keep attempting it. It literally feels like it was rekeyed and neither of my full key fobs will rotate it cw or ccw.
New problem: Upon reassembly, my drivers door lock is now erratic. It never stays “unlocked” either from the fob or the DDM. It pops unlocked then relocks itself. It only stays unlocked if i manually unlock from inside or catch it between cycles and use the handle outside. I did the full electronics reset battery disconnected 30m, key pos2 then relanded. No joy. Any thoughts on that? I did originally try to douse the latch in penetrant in attempts to “free” anything prior to properly diagnosing it. Wonder if I soaked something I shouldn’t have.

When the door actuators on P80's fail they won't lock or unlock, sometimes they won't move at all. They break internally.
Did you try the key in the trunk to see if it works the trunk lock to see if the lock has been changed at some point?
Neil.
