1996 volvo 850 radiator fan replacement

Post by thpave »

My car was overheating after driving 8 hours last weekend, it was checked out to be the radiator fan which got burnt stopped working.

How hard is it to replace the radiator fan? Is there any available procedure for this? If I have got the fan part, what is the reasonable price of the labor fee to replace the radiator fan? Thx!

This is actually so simple you will be surprised. There are only 4 small bolts that hold this in and they are at the top. The bottom just has 2 plastic ears that push in. There is a write up I believe on this board in the repair database.
