performance tuning 850 2.5 20V 1994

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

Post by tony dear »

has anyone performance tuned this model and was the result worth the cost eg chip, filter, exhaust etc. I would be grateful for any info on this matter. The car has a superb engine and I feel it warrants the attention.
Thanks Tony

Hey Tony...welcome to the board. Yes, all of what you mentioned makes a big difference on these cars. However, as most will point out to you, make sure that the car is up to shape (we call this stage-0) before doing stage I or II upgrades. Notably the PCV system needs to be clear and without leaks and I would recommend you going to some silicone turbo hoses. Also, you might want to consider IPD antisway bars and make sure your brakes are without issue before giving your car the 50HP or so increase that what you mentioned is going to give you.
