hi.
i have a pair of 244's. a '92 that is rust-free, but needs head work, and has always suffered from ignition timing issues, and a 100k mile '88 that is rusty but runs perfectly.
i'm thinking of pulling the b230f from the '88 and putting it in the '92.
both are automatics, both have the same options.
my concern is transplanting the motor intact, wiring, ignition system and and harness, if possible into the '92.
the '92 has the problematic (in my case) non-adjustable distributor and related electronics.
is the harness convertible between the 2 cars, or can i just unplug the '88 and plug it into the main harness in the later car?
the '88 b230 is great and i'd hate have it adopt the problems of the '92's ignition system.
thanks and sorry for the overly complex first post.
