201k miles. Car idles rough..warms up then is o.k..it wants to die.. speeds up and then slows down almost to a crawl.. takes about 3-4 seconds to start it...has to warm up several minutes... Flashers intermittent problem with turn signals and hazards.... passenger side tail light lens broke out.. hood has rust, so does rear quarter panel on passenger side.. interior really good! Once it warms it seems o.k. Automatic transmission.. car has been driven, but I think the fuel is kind of old in the tank.. they gave me a new fuel pump that goes in the back under the seat with the car.. .. is there a breakerless ignition for this car.... I dont know where are the sensors are located in this car.. I dont know too much about it yet.... paid $500 and want a solid, reliable car. :?:

Eh you could be right.. but what do I do.. sell it like it is? That bums me out.. *groan*. But still, I can't find one straight away for THAT cheap. Sounds like you got yourself a nice bargain.

It will be a long time before this car dies I think. The problems are not that bad so far.. getting the lights working. I only paid $450 for the car. The Overdrive Relay or Solenoid. The engine is coming around now after I Seafoamed it and daily driving. New rotor, cap, and plugs, wires coming from Ebay. I tell you what, when I do part with it, I'm gonna look for another Volvo.. I really like this car.

i do not think you were taken....volvo's are great cars. I might run a tank of gas through it before I really worked on it (it may just be bad gas). If that does not fix it clean idle air motor (under intake two rubber hoses, one electrical connnection), and check coolant temperature sensor (there are two one for the gage, one for the ecu)
