Volvo 4601.8i and 440 gle head

I have a question about the volvo engine head.
I want to place a head from a volvo 440 GLE (year 94) with multipoint injection to a volvo 460 1.8i (year 95) wich has a singlepoint injection. Will it fit? What adjustments do I have to made?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

First, do not apologise for your bad English. I probably cannot speak nor write in your language.

The heads of the B16F, B18EP and B18FP are exactly the same. The heads for the turbo models are not compatible with the non-turbos.

If you are able to obtain all of the multipoint injection parts you should be able to change the fuel system to take it. However, the single point system should also fit the new head.

Today I looked and find the modeles of engines. The one in 460 is B18U, in the 440 model is the engine B18EP. So will the head and EFI from B18EP 1,7 lit. fit to B18U 1.8 lit. ? The gaskets are almost the same.

The B18U is a different head so, in all probability, the B18EP head will not be compatible.
