no signal to injectors?

We are working on a 96 850 non-turbo that wont start. It is not getting power to the fuel rail or the fuel pump. Would a crank angle sensor, or a power stage cause there to be no signal?

One of two things...the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself. Check the relay first (cheaper). Also, I believe it was Lee who wrote up a way to jumper the pins in the relay holder. By doing so you can figure out which one is bad. You'll have to look in the repair database for that.

We tried a known working relay and that didnt do it. If the fuel pump was bad would that cause no pulse at the fuel rail?

yep

When you turn the key to position II you should hear the fuel pump come on at the rear of the car. Do you hear it?

There are actually two fuel system relays, the one that always goes bad in the central electrical unit, and then the one that rarely goes bad on the driver

In the end in turned out to be a bad ECU computer.
