1998 V70 XC MAP sensor or Altitude sensor?
I've been trying to diagnose a P0107 code and have found two common recommendations. One theory is that it is the MAP sensor. The other is that it is the Altitude/Barometric sensor. I have seen posts saying there is no MAP sensor on this vehicle. I have searched for both parts and found both parts at the same website. The cost is about $85 for the MAP sensor and about $160 for the altitude sensor. When I look at pictures of the parts they look exactly the same! I found the altitude sensor and it looks like the picture. I don't know where to look for the MAP sensor. Can anyone tell me whether the 1998 V70 has a MAP sensor and where to find it?

I don't think our year has one....Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. I believe this is calculated in another way with our. The other sensor is a triangular sensor up against the inside fender on the passenger's side between the headlight and the windshield washer filler tank. The reason I say I don't think our cars have the MAP sensor is because it doesn't show up in VADIS at all for our year vehicles.
