S40 airbag light?

2001 S40...dashboard airbag light went on...won't go out. What does this mean? What can I do? I fear taking my car to Volvo ($$$$).

Sorry but to the dealer you go. They are the only ones that can turn the light off. It means that either you have caused an open circuit in your airbag system (maybe you were working on your car, near the dash?) or something is wrong with the system. Good luck and let us know how you fair.
