86 740 GLE Cold run problems

I have a 86 740gle non turbo. When you first start it and it starts fine it does not want to run. It acts like it is flooding out and wil not rev or run correctly. After about a mile and a half it suddenly begins to run. If I let it warm up for about 10 minutes beforeI drive it the car runs fine. Does not get great gas milage. I have replaced the EMC and Mass air sensor with no improvement.This car does not seem to have a starter injector. What could this be?

Have you checked your temp sensor? There are two I believe, one for the temp gauge and the other feeds info to the brain telling if the engine is hot or cold. If it is not working it may only feed the computer info stating the engine is hot.

Thanks and I will check that out. I also noted that someone had the same kind of problem except it would rev alittle higher. His turned out to be the coil. Again, Thanks. Bobby
