95' 850 overhaul <HELP>

I had a cracked head gasket in my 95 non-turbo wagon. (145k mi.) Overheated...done. Zero comppression
my mechanic just so happend to pull an engine out of 97 850 that had just been wrecked. He has serviced the other car for several years so i feel its a good one.
It is a complete engine. nothing has been removed from it. NOTHING


what are some things i should look for right away when i get my volvo back?
