Recently got this car..ran fine when Igot it exeot for the fact that the intercooler hose to the ISV and intake had a hole in it about 3 inches long..I bought it thinking this was the only problem..after replacing the hose, the car started showing signs of boost and power but as soon as it reached 3k rpm..it started to hesitate and pop intermittently as if it were not getting enough fuel..when its cut off then restarted it idles fine then acts like its got a misfire..I dont want to go ahead and assume its the MAF, COOLANT TEMP SENSOR, FUEL PUMP...blah, blah, blah...
I will try to replace the fuel filter tomorrow and see if its a restricted flow...
PLEASE..anyone with any info or similar problems with a cure..please help me...
Please note there are no current vaccum leaks present..

Check the rest of your lines, ALL OF THEM, all the vacuum lines it sounds as if you still have a leak somewhere.

I would read your trouble codes first as this will point you in the right direction. On your car, it's very simple. There are 2 diagnostic boxes under the hood: The A-2 Engine Codes are probably the ones you want to read:

With wastegate, you either have or don't have boost if it's not opening or closing. You don't want it to tight but not to loose either. This is something you can play with some by turning the actuator arm.
