90K miles. Transmission fluid changed @ 60k miles.
When driving on long road trips, I've notice a whinning sound upon overdrive and up hill climbs. At first, I thought the whine was from my power steering pump. Not the case as that reservoir is full.
When checking the transmission fluid when hot in Park position, it is over the mark with some bubbles. This can't be good, so am I checking the fluid properly?
Should I just get the fluid changed? Do I have a solenoid issue?

You don say which model S80, but it does sound like it's over-filled. Did someone work on your car recently and add fluid? You know that on your car (if it's an automatic 5 speed) it takes a very special fluid. If someone added the wrong fluid this could be the cause. I would certainly flush and fill it again at your miles...once you start, you should be on a 30-35K mile flush and fill schedule anyway.
Good luck and let us know what you do and how your transmission is.
