I'm not sure if I understand your question...but if you're asking if a turbo engine is compatible with what was formerly a 10 Valve engine (although I'm not in a country that even imported the 10 Valve), I highly doubt it...you would have to change the ECU, all the wiring and even then, would the transmission that went with your former engine pair up with the new? I don't know, but once again I doubt it. Let's say that you exchanged both...put a new engine w/ transmission in, you would still have to change out the ECU and the TCU (transmission computer) and then maybe things would work.

Possibly Billofdurham from your side of the pond will chime in and help answer your question. If I completely missed the boat here in understanding you, I'm sorry....but your original post was hard to understand. What is 144ch??

Think I get it , Its possible although I dont envy anyone the task of swapping that lot out lol .

Hes talking about transplanting Engine/Box Wiring ECU etc from a mangled shell into his 850 . I cant see going from sedan/wagon being much different as the front ends should be the same .

If its worth it to you and your capable of doing the work yourself then give it a shot .

If your planning on taking it to a shop then I hope your willing to sell a kidney to pay the bill lol .

Neither are AWD so things should work, but like Solutech said, it will be a lot of work. Please let us know what you decide to do. If you do it, please take pictures and post them about your experience!

i'm not sure ill do it but if have another engine whit all electronic system
an 3.0L v6 audi 290hp, my friend crach his car and would give me his engine it will be a good thing to try because the engine fixation is the same
but i need to change a lots of thing the ecu system, all between the engine and my front wheel and i need to acomodate the ecu of the engine whit the dasboard
it was juste a big problem, in belgium tuning is not realy possible;
you can add a neuw ecu, differant exhaut system, but you cant change your engine to replace it whit a differant brand engine
(acura is not legal in belgium)
we will start this in a few week or a month
i will post photos from the begenind to the end of project
and pobably take a video on youtube or something like tath and post the message hier
i want a stock boby whit a powerfull drive train, i prefere rwd car but the 850 was wonderful
if the project is ok i will have the only volvo whit 3.0l v6 turbo engine
thanks to everyone and specialy to the one hoes does this forum
