95 940 turbo caliper removal

Post by cquarts »

Replacing the pads and original rotors (with 140k miles on them) on the front. To remove the rotor you have to unbolt the two allen bolts holding part of the caliper on from the inside. Never been removed and they are a bear. Does it take a standard 10 mm (thats what it looks like) allen wrench to get these broken loose? Is it a left or right handed thread? Thanks in advance. Clay

It is a 8mm and the normal convention for removal of bolts is.....
lefty - loosey
Righty-tighty
When you looking at it!

Look here for some further information:

The entire thread is very good reading, good luck.

My bad , somehow I read 940 and converted to 850 I am not sure about your bolt size. Same applies to undoing the bolts
