Check engine light came on with code P0130, bank 1 circuit one oxygen sensor. I replaced the sensor with the generic Bosch sensor and made sure to connect the leads properly, then had the light reset. The car ran fine and the light stayed out till the next day when it came back on with the same code.
Thinking the sensor was bad, I got another sensor from the vendor and installed it, again making sure the connections right. Same result, the light came back on the next day.
I am now thinking something else is causing the computer to think the sensor is bad Any ideas?
Could a bad air pump cause this? How do I detect a bad air pump?
Thanks

99 V70 Oxygen sensor problem
The solution was that the Bosch Oxygen sensor that I bought was the incorrect sensor. Some 1999 and 2000 V70 models came with a Denso sensor and that is what I had
I returned the Bosch sensor and bought the Denso from the Volvo dealer.
