1st Timer Needs Help

Happy to have found & joined this Site/Forum while doing research.
Have decided to JUMP SHIP from SAAB after long & loving relationship.
I'm interested in a vehicle (listing below) & would greatly appreciate some OPINIONS & SUGGESTIONS before commiting.

I'm a long time (DIY) SWEDE Wrencher on 900's, 9000's & V240's (Head/Heart/Backaches & Rewards to prove it!) but NO experience with the 850 at all. I'd appreciate MODEL SPECIFIC info, ie.. Mech Flaws, Faults, Tips, Tricks! This model yr. VS later model yrs! Be on the LOOKOUT for(s), etc...

Yeah, I know it's HIGH MILAGE & wished it were TURBO but....
