I have a 2004 V70. I don't have the side bars that come installed on it, but I did buy the bars that go on top of it. They are the ones that go across the roof and mount into metal mounts on the roof. I want to purchase a cargo carrier (a hard top). Can anyone recommend one? I don't want to buy from the dealer. I think Sears sells some nice Thule ones, and not sure which is best and most aerodynamic. Thanks for the feedback.

I've got a Thule Evolution 1800, and it's been great. My spare tire is up there so I could fit my amp and sub under the trunk, and it holds sleeping bags, mats, milk crates, etc. I have it mounted pretty far forward to allow for the tailgate to fully open. It makes a bit of noise over bumps in town and on the freeway(it shakes at 70+ mph) not to mention 19-20 mpg or less at those speeds. no diference in town though. I used to have a Thule Cascade XT 1100, and that was great too, it fit 3 snowboards and a pair of skis easily. Check craigslist for deals, I found my Evolution 1800 on craigs for $300, sold my Cascade XT 1100 for $200. GI-Joes had some deals not long ago on some of the older-but-not-ancient models.
