1998 V70 T5 transmission thump.

Post by streckfu'sV70T5 »

My name is Daniel, and have owned this V70 for almost a year visiting occasionally at SwedeSpeed but this is my first post here.

I tried searching and really didn't find anything so forgive me if this is a repost.... :?:

I have noticed an occasional transmission thump (fells like a gentle nudge forward) when stopped and in gear (almost exclusively after the car is warmed). It almost never happens if I move the transmission into neutral and never is felt when driving. It seems pretty random as it is only felt once in while. If I am stopped for a couple of minutes at a light, I may feel it twice.

Could this just be a worn mount or signs of greater trouble in the future?

TIA,
Daniel
