hi,
i would like to now if there is any way a new replacment key fob can be programmed to my car without having to take it to volvo and pay the

You can do it yourself, you need to have all the fobs together. You put the key in the ignition, turn the key on & off 3 (or 5?) times, then the security light on the dash flashes quickly. Then you can program the fobs by pressing one of the buttons on the fob. I can't remember which, but it's in the manual. Easy to do.
