1999 s80 abs dtc code must be cleared to work?

hi all,

can anyone tell me if the dtc abs code have to be cleared for the system to work after soldering repair?

my display in the left hand dash window says "abs dtc set" this i assume means it needs to be read and cleared by the volvo dealer.

since doing the solder repair, my abs red warning light symbol has gone out, but this code still remains in the dash display.

what i wondered was will the repaired module still not work until the dtc code is cleared.
