I spent a lot of time making sure everything was clean, and replaced hoses as necessary. Clamped everything up and it runs a little better, but the smoking dipstick is just as bad as before.
I hear some hissing from the PTC, which I thought might be a problem since it was pretty rotted. I was wondering if any such vacuum leaks would be signifficant enough to keep the dipstick smoking, even with a clean PCV. Or to rephrase, is the smoking dipstick caused by blockage or can air leaks cause it as well?
Also, can anyone suppy a pic of their Vacuum tree/nipple so I can be sure I have the vacuum hoses routed correctly?

You might have to buy a new accordion hose...don't think the valve comes separately. fcpgroton.com and eeuroparts.com sells them. Make sure you get the correct one for your car.
