V40 HEADLIGHT REFLECTOR LOOSE

Post by DANOVATION »

HELP! Just changed the low beam H7 bulbs in my 2000 V40 and while attempting to clip the bulb in place, the entire inner reflector either broke loose or is off its up/down-left/right adjustment track. I can basically push on the back of the high and low beam bulbs and move the reflector in any direction. I am sure this is not normal as the other side is tight. I know that when I drive at night the headlights will appear to be vibrating on one side of the car. Any solutions out there? I did not force the retainer clip that holds the bulb in but I did have to push with my finger pretty hard to get the spring clip in place (this is the clip to the rear of the bulb that holds the bulb in the reflector opening).
Also, an FYI. Sylvania's new H7 ST SilverStar Bulbs work great and give a good, clean and crisp white light for around 40 bucks. I have used them before and they work great. :)
