I need help

2002, v70
my gas lid button stopped working, so i disconected the ground off the battery. 30 seconds later i reconnected the ground wire. now my sunroof, interior lights, keyfobs and visor mirror lights dont work. what did i do wrong and how can i fix it

Welcome to MVS. When you reconnect the battery with your particular model, you're suppose to have the ignition key in position II (almost to III where the car starts, but not quite). Disconnect the battery again and put your key in this position before reconnecting and see if it makes a difference. If not, then check your fuses.

i took my v70 to the dealer. there is a computer (chip) or something in the interior rear view mirror. were is the best place to find a deal on this part and how do you know what to look for?

They are a pain in the butt because even if you find a new one it will have to be "married" to the car with software at the dealer. This little mirror has much more in it than just a chip- it is the brains for your security system for your car among other things.
