I have 1992 740 wagon that won't start when the engine is hot. It never stops when it's running. When it's hot all electronics work but I get no response from the starter. Sounds like a sensor of some sort.
Thanks

The thing is, If I open the hood for about five minutes the engine starts right up. Do you think that's the starter solenoid?
Thanks,

It is posible that the starter is cooling off. but I think that we a grasping @ straws. Check and see if there any bad conections on the starter, battery, and on the starter solenoide (mag switch) on the fender. all of these or one could cause the problem. let me know how it turns out.
P.S. you never said if it is an auto. or stick.
