Programming the sun visor garage door opener

Post by warrenjoel »

I replaced my 99 V70 XC driver side sun visor with one that has a programmable 3 button door opener. How, if possible, do I clone the code from my hand held garage door opener. Thank, Joel 8)

Instructions depend on your opener. You'll be registering it with the opener, not cloning the code, so you might need a ladder to push the 'learn' button on the opener. See: http://www.homelink.com/home/home.taf

Thanks for info!

Can I instruct the a condo gate to register with my home link visor? I cannot seem to get the buttons to flash. Pressed two outside buttons while ignition at "on" position. Nothing...defective? Or am I the defective link?:) Thanks again, Joel.

If you have a "rolling code" it's a bit more difficult and the garage motor has to be programmed.
If you do not, you program it to the remote
If you've pushed both outside buttons and held them for 20 seconds, they should flash, if not, the homelink is broke!
