XC-70 2001 Air Conditioner Cuts Out

The air conditioner on my 2001 XC70 blows cold for a while then stops cooling. I found that I can turn off the A/C for two minutes and it will cool again for a while when turned back on. My local mechanic can't figure it out. The refrigerant pressures are fine.

Your A/C clutch needs to be re-shimmed. There are some additional links in this thread from the database.
