Idles rough after 20 minutes. No Codes

I have a 1998 S70 T5. It was my son's car for school. I haven't used it for about a month. I had to jump it to start it and let it idle for about 20 minutes to let the battery charge. After 20 minutes it started shaking and studdering. If I rev it up past 3000 it sounds ok but when it returns to idle it starts shaking. It also smells like a sulfur and garbage mix from the exhaust. I don't get any codes.

Check your air filter and look for disconnected vacuum hoses. Is it low on fuel? Might be bad fuel or junk getting pulled from the bottom of the tank.

Sounds very much like a MAF sensor if other things that Matt mentioned check out okay.

Smell the fuel tank...does it smell like varnish? When gas sits for a long time it turns bad. If it was your sons car in college he was probably filling it as cheaply as he could to begin with. Could be bad gas.
