I live in Australia and I'm planning to install an electric fan on the radiator. However im just wondering how i go about installing the thermo sensor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

there are wiring kits that include a sensor which attaches to the cooling fins on your radiator, so you don't have to drill holes anywhere or modify a coolant hose.

Both Flex-a-lite and Deralle have controllers that use a sensor that is a "push-through" type to measure the external temp of the radiator. I would also recomend a a duel fan setup wired independantly with one of the fans set up with an over-ride on/off switch. Included in that would be a mechanical temp guage as they are more dependable than electrical.
On a side note, 55km/h (35mph) and above in 32 C (90F) temp has enough airflow (if you are not running A/C) to keep your car cool without any fans (provided your cooling system is working propperly).
